Animal Health
The AspenBio Animal Health division employs conventional biotechnology by effectively leveraging product concepts to Big Pharma using the Company’s core competencies and patented technologies. The Animal Health division has developed deep expertise in reproductive physiology and molecular endocrinology. This strong foundation in science creates a spring board from which new product concepts are generated. The concepts are developed into therapeutic products using a patented platform that enables specific modulation of therapeutic activities. The outcome is a pipeline of valuable and innovative drugs designed to improve production efficiencies in livestock management.
The Animal Health platform consists of six veterinary therapeutic drug products and is poised to be revolutionary in veterinary medicine with two expected blockbuster level drugs in two of the largest livestock markets, cattle and pigs. Our two cattle products, BoviPure-LH™ and BoviPure-FSH™, were licensed in 2008 to Novartis Animal Health for full development, commercial launch and worldwide distribution. We intend to use a similar out-licensing/partnership model to commercialize the other products in the pipeline.
